Creativity as an idea has been hijacked by gurus of innovation who claim it in the name of economics, individual psychology, self-expression, fashion and therapy. In this site creativity is considered as a collectively inhabited place, a country of relational minds. It is considered as the homeland of every human being - a vast, open, dynamic space accessible to all – the universe of the collective mind. |
Creativity Country is a web landscape in which writers, film-makers, scientists, visual artists, theatre practitioners, chefs, mechanics and other philosophers can explore the theory and philosophy of creativity - what being in creativity country means. The texts included here focus on the spatio-temporal and embodied nature of creativity, how people enter creativity country and maintain a connection to it.
This site will publish a collection of writings and links to other sites that explore the process, pedagogy and politics that support or inhibit access to creativity country.
